Day 14: Pocatello to Idaho Falls, ID

It tells you something when I describe today as an easy 65 miles, ridden in a little over 4 hours. We went through picturesque farmland, along the Snake River valley, in perfect weather conditions. Our hotel was opposite the water falls, pictured. There was a piano in the lobby which I played briefly. Early to bed...tomorrow is a huge and difficult day.

Day 13: Burley to Pocatello, ID

A long distance day...85 miles...but few long hills, so we made it in 5 hours...that's fast. Everyone's legs are stronger two weeks into the journey. It was so cold today that I never took off my jacket. We travelled two hours on one of the loneliest roads in the USA (photo).

Day 12: Idaho Falls to Burley, ID

We passed two waterfalls as we followed the Snake River to Burley. The land above is flat as far as the eye can see, with this colossal jagged rent in the earth passing right through it. We had a gusty tailwind to speed us across the agricultural land to Burley, and a scavenger hunt competition along the way (a list of 20 objects we had to find). Resulted in a pretty entertaining evening!
