Today we left Wyoming and entered South Dakota. It was a tough day of 94 miles, a big climb, and headwinds. But the scenery varied from vaste grasslands that made you - on a bicycle travelling slowly - seem insignificant, to mountains forested with pine. Many riders are getting fatigued, some mentally. Helen, a mother of four, and Alex's mum, whom I rode with today may take the van tomorrow. I have sore sit bones and tired legs, but I am loving the experience. The hills don't bother me, despite the long grind up.
