Day 11: Mountain Home to Twin Falls, ID

A long, long ride, a couple of miles shy of a century. We left at dawn and crossed vaste mesas, descending into the irrigated valleys below and climbing out again. I rode and chatted with Katie much of the day. The group refer to my bike condescendly as "the Tank", but despite her great weight she gives me a lovely ride. At the entry to Twin Falls the Snake River has carved a huge canyon (famous for Evel Knievel's great flop) hundreds of feet deep which we crossed on a magnificent bridge to the hotel and.....rest for the weary.
