Day 26: Chamberlain to Mitchell, SD

I can't keep posting endless-landscape, road-to-the-horizon photos. Today was a flat 75 miles, and Eileen and Tod kept me company. Here are other aspects of the trip. We have to do laundry every afternoon, as we were only allowed to bring 3 bike shirts/shorts and the same for civilian clothes (mine are visible). Grasshoppers - by the millions - bask on the hard shoulder and leap when the bike wheel approaches. We get peppered from head to toe with grasshopper shrapnel. After dinner, a nice stroll along the Missouri River. Mitchell is famous for its Corn Palace!

  1. Hi, Andrew. The Hocking clan is here. We logged onto your blog and read your most recent posts. It sounds like a great trip! Keep it up. We signed on as followers. Peter wants to know how you feel. Jacob wants to know if you're tired and if you like the bike trip so far. Becca isn't home right now, but I will show her your photos later. Congrats on making it more than half-way. Talk soon, Melinda et. al.
