Day 40: Port Huron, MI to London, Ontario

They closed the bridge for us. 50 bicycles were escorted over the Bluewater Bridge to Canada, while the traffic was held back. This was to give us room to carry the bikes over the massive 4 ft expansion joints in the bridge, and to help us clear customs as a group. We took the scenic route around Sarnia to see the lake and the bridge. Jeff's mother and Mark's wife and parents - from Ontario - were briefly united with the riders, and brought delicious cakes and pies for the SAG stop. Here, in the photo, we are celebrating 3,000 miles with 3 fingers. Ontario has flat farmland just like Michigan.
